Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)


Overview

B. Com is designed to provide an insight into the world of commerce aiding students to crack CPT, IPCC, ICWA, CS, Bank PO Exams and other competitive exams. It has become an essential qualification for businesses and an important educational landmark. This is because it leads a student to higher education opportunities in the field of Business and commerce. Under this programme, a student will gain practical knowledge in the fields of accounts, taxation, banking and ROC with latest software and computer applications. The student is fully trained for CA/CS/ICWA. Students will get 'on the job training' in the second and third year of the course. At the end of the three years B.Com., the student will have two years of work experience and would have qualified the various modules of CA/CS/ICWA.The degree is awarded by UGC approved university in the Regular Mode.

GDBM( Graduate Diploma in Business Management)


Graduate Diploma in Business Management programme is designed to give a clearly structured business education that provides a solid foundation for success in a business career. The course provides a strong grounding in fundamental business concepts, ideas, practices and methodologies. It features a rich learning environment that involves students in comprehensive analysis of business organizations, functions, processes and management techniques. The course provides students with a solid understanding of general business theory and practice. It also provides the knowledge and skills that will enable an effective contribution to the resolution of business problems and will prepare students for the challenges posed by the dynamic nature of the modern business environment.

GROUP DISCUSSIONS (GDs)


Students are provided with ample opportunities to participate in GDs and Interviews. They regularly interact with other members in their teams while discussing topics of general interest. These GDs are closely supervised and expert feedback is provided to each student. This helps to develop the leadership skills and boosts the overall confidence of student managers.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES


Personality Development sessions help in building self-awareness and developing a positive attitude to cope with time and stress issues. Feedback on important personality traits is delivered through supportive counseling sessions by experts.

MOCK INTERVIEW SESSIONS


Mock interview is an emulation of an interview used for training students to perform better while facing corporate interviews for internships and placements. Focus is to impart confidence, good communication and analytical abilities through this method among students.




ROLE PLAYS


Students are made to simulate roles in different situations encountered in an organization. Such exercises help them to sharpen their decisions making and creative skills.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP


All the students enrolled in regular full time programs in Management, Information Technology, Commerce & Hotel Management have to join industry after the second semester for 3 days per week and the industry pays stipend to the student during internship, so a post graduate student gets one year of work experience and an under graduate gets two years of work experience on completion of the course.

TEACHING THROUGH MANAGEMENT ORIENTED MOVIES


ATM-GBS tries to bridge the gap between theory and practice, through discussion of the movies like Lagaan, Chak De India and many more movies which illustrate practical aspects of leadership and other managerial traits which every business management student should be aware of and imbibe in his practical day to day business handling.

CORPORATE MEETINGS


ATM-GBS sponsors the entire class to attend National Level conferences at various five star hotels so that the students are able to interact with the companies and be able to understand the corporate culture.

CASE STUDY METHOD


Experience is the best teacher and the case study method packs more experience into every hour of learning than any other instructional approach. Case studies challenge students by bringing them as close as possible to business situations.

PRESENTATION METHOD


Presentations build more confidence and develop good knowledge base of students. This teaching methodology grooms overall personality of the students.


• Foundation Programme of 8 months duration can be pursued by 10+2 Pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce (Excluding Fine Arts).
•Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts.
•Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.

Earn while you learn

Student Pursuing B.com form ATM-GBS will have opportunity to go for live projects in the industry for 3 days in a week in the second and third years & will also have the opportunity to earn stipend varying from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month depending upon their capabilities and their learning by undergoing on the job training in the companies.
